Abbott’s philanthropic efforts in Germany recently earned them the "Heartwarming Human of the Year" award from the Gerald Asamoah Society for Children with Congenital Heart Disease. Among their contributions were donations that helped make a life-saving heart surgery possible for a two-year-old girl from Africa, blood-giving opportunities at their Wiesbaden and Hannover sites, and a charity run at its Hannover site.
